Triker, The leak is due to a faulty seal. These are not hard to replace and your HI dealer can still get them. As to draining the oil, the pulley is splash lubricated by the forward transmission gears - so you change the oil in it every time you change transmission oil. The unit is set up to hold a limited amount of oil. To change the oil in this reservoir and change the leaky seal, you first remove the pulley from the 'wheel' it attaches to. Loosen the bolts (if I remember right 4 of them) on the face of the drive unit and pull the shims, bevel gear, shaft, bearing, seal retainer and wheel out as a unit. A fair bit of oil and probably some water will come out as well. I think (its been a while since I worked on mine) a snap ring holds the works together. If you can avoid it, leave the big Woodruff ket in place. These come out hard and you almost have to destroy them to get them out. They are available but hard to find. If you have to change the bearing, I think the key will have to be removed - maybe yours will come out easier than mine did. I think the seal retainer will come off without removing the key. I'm sorry I don't remember the exact sequence, but the parts manual and common sense will give you all of the details you need. A relatively easy fix. The control is a rod that attaches to an arm on the pulley drive unit and exits the ignition switch plate at the base of your steering support shaft - pull the rod to start the pulley.
