The wife was out rebaling busted bales of hay with the Farmall 460 and MF#3 baler. Every thing was going good till, she went in the shop to get a grease gun and bumped her butt on the rear axle of the 706. Then all heck broke loose all she could do the rest of the day was talk about getting rid of the worthless good for nothing 706! She want's to trade it for a 560 or 660 that she can drive! It was all I could do to keep from laughing when she dropped her pant in the barn lot and showed me her blue bump. Then she really got mad and asked .Whats so funny @#!&*# all I could tell her that no one was dumb enough to trade her a good 560 for a 706. Farm women think they have all the right keys.

Now I know why she was so tense this morning when she called me about those loader parts. Tell her it'll be ok (I think). Still praying for you. David

It would be best to post pictures of the bump for others to properly assess the extent of the damage.

Short Bolt: When it come to bumping buts on rear axle, not going to be a whole lot of difference regardless of Farmall model. A human body just wont move them.

It is just like trying to move a pickup sideways by hitting the trailer hitch with your shin. I have taken a pretty good run at it several times but the pickup stays firmly planted right where it started.

Randy: No, that pickup will stay firmly planted, never seen one move yet not even 1/4". I'd sooner hit my hip anyday than the shin.

My wife is a Home Economics teacher. When she was in college, prof told her she was the noisiest person she had ever heard in the kitchen. Her problem, things had to happen fast in the kitchen. Several times after we were first married 40 years ago, she showed me black and blue marks on her hips from hitting kitchen table amoung other items around the house. I use to tell her back then, at least kitchen table and most other household objects will move from the impact of the human body. Please stay away from the Farmalls and pickups, they don't move quite so easily. Even though she was only 130#, I still worried I may come home someday and find her with blue hips and Farmall 300 on it's side.

It may be she is still just as bad, just not so quick to show me her hips anymore.

When I installed the first receiver hitch on my pickup years ago, I handed the drawbar to my hired man and told him to pound his shins with it a few times just to get used to the feeling.

About the only thing worse is standing up after working under a cabover semi truck with the cab tilted up and the door open and trying to shut the door with your forehead. You won't tip the cab over either. But after you pick yourself up off the ground and the birdies quit flying around in your head, you just wish you could tip it over. BTDT Harley

Try lifting the front of your 5th wheel trailer off the ground by standing up under the hitch pin box. That'n took a trip to the bone-cruncher to fix. Larry
