Did anyone notice the MCH under photo ads? Can you tell me what it is or was used for. Seems to be really modified for something special.

I have seen this tractor when I was in Idaho last winter. It is like nothing I have ever seen before. The second transmission is quite something. But the real show stopper is the large multistage pre cleaner which he admited that he had designed and built. I'm not sure but I don't think that even he knew why the second transmission.

So what did you think of the tractor? Is it worth what he is asking? It's not really a tractor is it---just a cotton picker that someone has modified with an extra transmission? Sure is different though.

A cotton picker tractor is a tractor first, the cotton picker is added later. Without the 2nd transmission, etc, it would act the same as a Hi-clear Farmall MV, the main difference is that the MV has a wide front end. As to what it's worth -- probably not much as a collector tractor, as it is not original. It's worth the money to someone who wants something unusual, original or not.

Note that it says Cotton Harvester under the Farmall, so it was originally set up to run backwards with the cotton harvester mounted. The large single front and the drop axles were set up that way at the factory. The stretched frame and other transmission were not factory, I do not know what that setup was used for.
