I have a United Specialities pre cleaner for a Farmall Super C. (Not a Donaldson) It is missing the plastic piece that seals the unit. I have tried several sources to try and find this piece, but no luck. Any help would be appreciated. See attached picture, this is not the pre cleaner that uses the mason jar.

I found that one could have a glass shop shorten the cylindrical glass globe from a Coleman 2-mantel gas lantern and in this way make a new transparent piece for this pre-cleaner. It could be JB welded into place at the bottom. An additional benefit would be that it's made of pyrex glass and would stand the exhaust's heat. (These globes are available from Coleman's web site for somewhere around $8 as I recall.) I ended up not going this route 'cause I found a really nice jar-type pre-cleaner at what I thought was a reasonable price. Both were optional factory equipment for a Super C.

Make a template (or temporary unit by rolling up stiff plastic sheet after cutting it to width. Take the template to the used store and get a plastic part to fit.

yeah, I've got one of those too and as far as I can tell the plastic is no longer available. I thought about trying to cut a piece out of a large clear plastic soda bottle.
