fenton: Nice looking tractor, the way you have it equiped including tires, exactly same as my SA, except my tractor is needing another paint job by now. You will find this little tractor is a monster when it comes to plowing snow. Chains are a must. I often plow without my chains, and the first problem I encounter is pushing snow to point it is falling over blade. Then I need the chains so I can back away. In 1958 my dad had a new Farmall 130 and a 55 - 300. We always plowed our snow with 300. One day we were in village at feed store. Around the village ( about 100 homes back then) there were 3 tractors that bascally plowed all private drives, store, bank, post office, etc. The tractors were a Super A, Super C with front blades and MF35 with loader. We watched the guy with Super A for a bit from feed store. On the way home, dad said, "I think we have our snow blade on wrong tractor, that little SA was making fool of larger tractors." Incedently, today there are probably twice the homes in that village. It now requires about 12 - 4x4 trucks, one payloader and several skid loaders with cabs to keep snow cleaned up. They are no faster after a storm than the 3 little tractors were 50 years ago. Now the real difference as I see it, 50 years ago the tractor plow operators did not have a coffee shop to stop at and blow about how well they were doing at keeping everyone moving. That is the difference as I see it.
