I asked what DS stands for, after the serial number? Which is 62268 DS. Thanks.

(Very calmly)--IH used suffixes after the serial mumber to indicate how the tractor was equipped. Separate the D and the S. As I said D means a 5000 ft altitude engine, generally that meant higher compression pistons to make up for the thinner atmosphere. S means your tractor has a torque amplifier "with provision for" 540 rpm independent pto. An R would be a transmission driven PTO. The S on your tractor means if your tractor has a PTO, it is live.

D is 5000 ft altitude pistons, etc; S is TA with provision for 540 rpm pto.
