Hi Gary, buy a recirculating heater that uses standard car heater hose. There is a pipe plug to remove on the left side of the block above the injection pump and there is another pipe plug in the front of the water jacket on the right side.
Drain about 1/2 the coolant out of the engine. Remove these two pipe plugs and replace with a pipe nipple. Mount the recirculating heater on the left side of the engine with a fabricated bracket. The bottom of the recirculating heater must be below the hole on the left side of the block. Using heater hose, connect the bottom connection of the recirculating heater to the nipple on the left side of the block and the top to the nipple on the water jacket. Theory is hot water rises and cold falls to bottom. Even in really cold weather 30 minutes to an hour is good to start.

Hope this helps

thanks JB2- the pipe plug you speak about on the RH side- is that the one up by teh thermostat housing? Is it Ok to run the hose up over teh vavle cover when going from teh LH side to teh RH side or should the hose stay below teh height of the RH pipe plug for good circulation?

Hi Gary, don't run the hose over the valve cover. The coolant run much better if the hose come from below. Bernard le mécano Québec Canada
