I just got done painting my Super C and it fired right up after sitting for 7 months. However I moved around to the front and cound not here the fan "moving" air. I looked at the pully and it was dinfintly slipping. The belt feels sticky after it ran for aboout 5mins. I jsut put new belts before I painted it. Is there any way I can "clean" the belt??
Thanks for the help Andrew

I concur with the previous assesment. Can you turn the water pump and generator or alternator over EASILY? If so, adjust the belt on the waterpump.

As far as belt cleaning... Bees Wax or any type of candle wax rubbed onto the belt will give it good grip. -old indian trick ;)

First off are the belts tight?? If not theres your problem. Also is something locked up like the water pump if it has one, or the genny/alternaotr which ever it has. Any thing the belt turns should turn freely if it doesn't then theres your problem. The belt should be tight enough that by pushing or pulling on it you can only more it about 1/2 inch.
