Im looking for a wide front end for my 1941 H. I have seen two different styles. I would like to find one that has the tie rod under the tractor not out in front. What brand or model or type is the one with the tie in back?

I have a factory wide front on my H and a Schwartz on my M. The factory can be mounted in 3 different wheelbase positions. I'm not sure about the Schwartz. All original factory H wide fronts have the rods in front. You just don't use them for a bumper!

Here"s a photo from a recent post in the Photo Ad"s of this site of a wide front H. The ad states it is a factory front end. As you can see, the tie rods are out in front - so perhaps factory models did have the in front tie rods.

I"m looking for a Super C and also would prefer the design with rear tie rods, so I"m also interested in the answer to this question.

Perhaps? No, it's a stone-solid fact. The original wide fronts for Hs and Ms have the tie rods out front.

There's an optional relocator plate that moves the wide front back several inches, which shortens the wheelbase and the turning radius. Also makes the tractor look pretty good.

I don't think there are any aftermarket options for the Super C.

Here are several pictures showing how a Schwartz wide front will fit on an H. Please note that this Schwartz front end came off of a 450, so the same front end will fit on an H thru 450 for sure with a few modifications to the brackets and steering arm.

There are 3 different types with the tie rods behind the axle:
Schwartz = most common
Norden = haven't seen many of those
IH factory = from a 300 through 350 (maybe 460 too)

Thats the Schwartz wide front you're talking about. I have one on my M. They are supposedly better designed and stronger than the factory wide fronts.
