Foot 'N Inch What the.........?????

This can't be right, can it? Pedal is "home" and this valve is still pulled out about 1/4 of an inch? I notice some slop in the pivot pin of the pedal too.

The torque seems to level out on the top third of the stick's travel. If I tromp the breaks, it'll pull 'er down and kill the engine dead just as you would expect.

But even so, isn't this thing dumping? Shouldn't that valve be totally closed when the pedal is not engaged?

My IT manual says that it is just a needle valve and to adjust it "up against the valve stop".

My jaw dropped when I looked at this thing; it is not even closing. Looks to me like it "kills" the pressure when the pedal is pushed. ??

My little pee brain cyphers this thing as just an over sized needle/seat that bleeds off the system pressure when activated?

I'm like Aces, it's a wonder that the thing would even move with that valve bypassing all the time. I'm gonna adjust 'er up to close properly and see if that will straighten out the top end "doggy feel" it has.
