I want to put a fuel filter on my H. There are a lot of filters out there, what would be the best one for my H. Thanx, Easy.

I shamelessly stole this picture from the Ford N board. Your Farmall H has a very similar, almost identical set-up. There is absolutely no need for any kind of additional in-line filter.

Rusty, Are you saying a correct NOS type fuel bowl assemble should have that filter up there in the tank? I agree, the in bowl filter and the carb filter should be sufficient. BTW I found my local IH dealer has the carb inlet assembly , with filter, for about 15 dollars!

If your going to do that be sure to get one for a gavity fuel system not a system made with a fuel pump. I don't recommend in line filters because they can cause all sorts of problems. Most people get filter made for cars and trucks and they don't work well on the gavity fuel system on tractors.

First check what hose size is on your tractor then go to NAPA and get a 3001 or 3002 filter (hose sizes are different between the two filter numbers) That is what I use - they do stock them (I work there)
