Finally got sleeves out of 43H. I gave up getting it out by myself and had to resort to a machine shop and part with a $100 to find out the #1 cylinder has a crack about 4" long in the middle of the cylinder and the sleeve had substantial rust holding it. The machinist says he can bore it out, install oversize sleeves with sealer and it "might" work. I'm leaning toward using the rebuilt head, and new pistons and sleeves on another machine and use this one for parts until a good block shows up. Any thoughts on overbore and sealant as a reliable fix?

We have done several that way with no problems and they are still running . and it probably be a bit cheeper then buying a block . Just have the block bored out and have a heavy wall sleeve pressed in and rebore to take the factory sleeve .

It might. That is not comforting at all.
I'd go for a different block. There are opinions that may sAY GO FOR IT, but with three layers of material between the piston and the coolant, and with a unchecked crack, I'd pass.
