Look into E85. 85% ethanol, 15% gas. best fuel you can use in my book. You will have to add more gas tothe mix to dillute the ethanol, but it makes power, holds torque longer, and use a resource that comes from the farm. Have any of you guys seen the Dukes of Hazzard episode, where Jessie enters his shine car in an experimental fuel contest??? Love that whiskey. HAHAHA!! Well, I used to that is,,, LOL! ChadS

Ammoco Ulitmate 93 octane is a good fuel. Run a compression test, if it is under 150psi, 93 is all you need! race fuel wont gain you any power, just cost alot, and smells good out the pipe. But no real good power gain. Chad

I think that you would need to look at your compression and the amount of advance you run. Most tractors were made to run on 70 octane when made. Just remember, to much octane is just as bad as not enough. Does it detonate under a heavy load? Fresh fuel helps too. Todays fuel isn't much good after 30 days or so. Good luck.

THE TRACTOR RUNS FINE AND PULLS GOOD FOR A STOCK ENGINE. I JUST KNOW THAT BACK WHEN IT CAME OUT THERE WAS ONLY LEADED FUEL, SO I THOUGHT I MIGHT NEED SOME KIND OF ADDITIVE FOR EVEN BETTER PERFORMANCE. THANKS, AGAIN

Don't waste your money on the junk that clames to booste power > when we were realy involved in the pullen thing we did a bunch of stuff tryen for just a bit more and unless ya improve comp. change cam grinds and timming and carb work and waste money just for the sake ofwinning a seven dollar trophe and braggen wrights for the next week . I had more fun pullen when we would drop the plow , disc , whatever give the tractor a quick bath load a couple ton of weights on a haywagon and load the kooler with barley pop and go have fun. But nowa days ya have to go after blood and the guy with the biggest check book always wins. Well almost always.
