I was headed north on sh 249 north of Houston, Tx.I saw something red with tires under a pile of junk appliances flagged him down and under all that junk was a 1948 H. It has a few missing parts but now my SUPER A &C won't be so lonely.Guess what he let me have it for junk price and it came with a three point hitch.

I gave the guy $200.00 scrap is bringing $.06 per pound. The 3 point hitch is worth more than that.

That will be an awesome story to tell, especially when you get it restored! Unbelievable. Good for you for saving another piece of old iron! I love my '42 H.

Now _that's_ my kind of deal. I'm a sucker for situations that require 10 times more in labor than initial outlay, in addition to the rescue from oblivion. Especially appreciate the 3-point hitch. I'm still assembling mine from parts. Just out of curiosity how much was the scrap price?
