I tried once before but it didn"t work. It looks like this time it "stuck". My 600D is in the gallery. Now if I can only figure out how to post it on here.....
How the heck is that supposed to work? I can"t figure how to retrieve the URL without loosing my message. Oh well, I guess I have to take it slow or I"ll get a nose bleed or something.
Nice pictures, Hugh. Nice looking land too. Is that close to where you farmed?
Maybe I"ll post a pic of the new 706 in need of help too.
Paul

Paul: I just noticed you poking a bit of fun at my Super A seat. I grabed that cushion about 10 years back when my good better half was replacing a chesterfield. She actually believes I didn't look after the cushion very well. If you notice that hole on right front corner of the cushion. That is where the mouse was getting material to build a nest in the torque tube of SA last winter. That one is recorded in archives here at YT, those guys poked a bit of fun at me as well.

Actually I agree my seats are a mess. The seat on the 140 is a factory SA pan seat, it had that when I bought it. I believe it was there since tractor was new. The other two seats on 130 and SA are factory deluxe seats for 130 and 140. I do admit there is not much original about the upholstry on any of those seats. The original pan seat on my SA was in bad shape so decided to buy this deluxe seat with the idea of getting all three seats upholstered, then putting pan seat on SA and deluxe seats on 130 and 140. As Pa Kettle used to say, " One of these days Ma."

Paul: That soil is actually quite heavy clay, all systematically tile drained. Spacing on it must be close to 30'. It seems to be working well with no till. I know the clay around here had much better crops this summer than the sandy loams down near Lake Erie. This clay carries traffic very well even when wet, and it holds moisture well during a dry season. They also grow some very good crops of alfalfa, quite unusual for clay where I came from. In Nova Scotia we had to keep our alfalfa on sandy loams or it would winterkill badly.

My farm was actually 1,300 miles away on the east coast in Nova Scotia. I moved here to see all this nice farmland you folks within 500 miles of the Great Lakes farm on. In the process I intend to see some of your old tractors and meet a few of you as well. I had visited Ontario numerous times in the past. Living here for the past 4 years has given me a new perspective. You really don't know an area until you've lived out the 4 seasons there. You see what a poor investment that one week trip was.

Thanks Jerry. Could you walk me through this a bit? The problem may be that I"m working with a Mac comp. and there is no right or left click- just one "clicker". Also, I"m not sure what"s meant by "properties". Should that be on my browser? The best that I can seem to do is put the address of the pic in my bookmarks. I can then click on it and go directly to the pic, but if I have the message writing form up, I can"t seem to click and drag the address off of my bookmarks menu. It seems like that"s how it should work- what am I missing?
Thanks for taking your time with me!
Paul

Do you normally pull that baler with the 600? If you do I'm impressed.

Well, no, I must confess. It is hooked to it in the picture, but just to move it around. That tractor would do it though if it had a 1000 RPM PTO. It never met a load that it didn"t like. It pulls most anything in 4th gear. It"s fun to pull loaded gravity boxes, maybe 25,000 lbs, down the road with it. It just muscles its way up hills. It has a hand clutch, which is neat, but not very handy!
