Got the '42 H out tonight and plowed 5" of snow off the lane (here in Southern Michigan). First real snow plowin' I've done with the H. I love it! The way it's snowing right now, it looks like I'll have to plow again before I go to bed tonight! (woo hoo)

I've been lucky with the H. It has been starting onm the first revolution even when it was only 14 deg. the other day. I have a buddy who lives in Manistique. I know they get a lot of snow up there!

Merry Christmas.

PurdueAg:

Which town are you from?

I'm near Rockford (a little NE of Grand Rapids). We got about 3.5" of snow last night and today the schools are closed.

Maybe I'm a tough old bird, but closing shcool for so little snow seems a bit wimpy to me. I'm glad the kids get to enjoy it, though. I'm expecting to see a few snowmen when I get home today.

Mark,

I'm down in the Hillsdale area south of Jackson. We ended up getting between 7 and 9 inches last night. I haven't listened to the radio, so I don't know how many schools closed here, but I imagine a lot of them did, because the snow removal folks got a late start last night. I drove home last night around 11pm, and the roads had not been touched by the road crews yet. Even in my Jeep Wrangler, I had to go slow, because the drifts would throw you a bit.

I agree, 3.5 inches is a little skinny to be closing school. Sounds more like Kentucky, when they close them at the first sign of a snow flake ;)

LOL! I figured I might hit a nerve with that one. But you're right about the chicks and bourbon!

There is an old saying “Be careful what you wish for” that might come to play here. I’ve been plowing snow almost steady since November 29th until yesterday. Thought I wanted snow to try out my new toy too…might change my mind one of these days…

Enjoy your H...
