I've been keeping my eyes open for one and reading everything I can find on this forum. Need it for gradeing too. I read that there were 2 or 3 different types made and that the later models were the better ones.

Does anyone have any pictures of one mounted up and what model it is?, width, etc? I was looking in the implement book and they made a front mount and a belly mount, or is it the same one. Was there a model made that you could mount up front and under belly just by switching the brackets around? I also see alot of them around for Cubs, can they be modified to work? Trying to get educated here.

Thanks for your help and all is helpfull at this point.

Thanks for all the help and pictures. If I can't find one around here at a decent price, I'll probably just find a blade for cheap and get some scrap steel and weld it up. I still original stuff though, when it can be had at a decent price.

Thanks Again,

I think it"s close in appearance to the one on my Super C. This will fit under the belly or out front. I don"t have the lift arms so have been using chains for about fifteen years. I"ve always been afraid of breaking one of the touch control arms with the chains, don"t think the geometry is quite right. That thing has plowed a lot of snow since I"ve had it, in fact I just got done plowing again a couple hours ago. Jim

I have a Super A blade mounted on a Cub and it wasn't a big deal. It would be a lot harder to go the other way because the Cub blade's frame is narrower than the super A's cultivator mount. If you look carefully you can see that the SA frame is 4" wider than the Cub's. (it's roughly centered up)

I made one out of an old snowplow that was similar to Ed"s, but it pushed from the rear hitch. Cut the top 1/3 of the plow off so it would clear and it worked great - snow and dirt.

This link should take you to some photos of my home-built belly-mounted blade. Might be of some help.

There is no pump. The tubing ports on the Ford steering box are joined by a short loop of tubing.

It's my emergency repair. I hit a stump while hauling logs out of the woods and broke the original steering box casting.

A steel bracket had to be fabricated to mount the front axle onto.

I think that the factory blades for the A were about five feet. Andrew
