I have some lights that are bullet shaped but have chrome rings. The fellow that gave them to me said they were used on the 39 h and m tractors. Does anyone know about this.

Thank you gentlemen for your replies. I wasn't aware of a difference in the lenses between 39 and early 40. I do know that the connector on the back of the early ones is square and the later ones are round. Also the used a tiny screw inder the ring to ground the reflector on the early ones instead of the brass strap.

Lights made by Do-Ray have chrome rings.
Look on the lens to see if it says Do-Ray

Will - the early (39 & early40) H & M lights were the same as the later ones ....with one minor diference , the "guide" lenses had a slightly different design/look - the lines (or grooves) on the face of the glass look more "striped" rather than "checkered" like the later ones i have never seen (or heard of) crome rings (might be an aftermarket ring ??)
