Here is the picture of alternator bracket and wire hookup. Wire for the light or diode is hooked to "L", red wire "R" (on my alternator)is hooked the the Bat, lug on my alternator. Got wiring hookup from friend that runs a gen, starter alternator rebuild shop. If you need my measurements for bracket email me....HTH

Keith, thanks for the pics, I don't know if you saw my post from Tuesday: "I think I have got the Mitsibishi alt half figured out. The R terminal goes to the ignition, L terminal normally would go to a alt light? How did you wire yours, and did you use a blocking diode to prevent battery drain?" Based on your comments above, I wonder if my alt will self excite?

Yeppers Tom, saw your post on hooking up your alternator, but I figured I would post how mine as wired to conferm what you had posted. Mine wiring came directly from the manuel, we had put it on the test machine to make sure was working properly....Hope you get yours going. As you can see I am still working on my Cub, only thing left is fenders tho..... thanks

Mitsubishi....this one only needs the one wire as it will self excite, but I am going to hook up L as I already have it in the wire harness.

Alternator on engine, so you can see how it fits. Lots of room under hood....

Thanks Keith, great pictures, sorry I didn't read your post closer before I responded. You covered everything I needed to know and now the light in my brain finally came on :-)
