Plate is 3/4x8x8,with 3 inch hole, rod 3/4 all threat 24 inchs long(haven't had a chance to cut it to the length I need yet). The square tube I used 2x2x9" with 0.250 wall thickness....

Keith, that is truly a work of art. I have been following this thread with interest because I have the same task coming up with not only my SC but my cub. The front seal on my cub leaks like a sieve and I need to pull the pulley on the SC so I can replace a cam gear. Wish me luck.

Tractor vet, not only cheaper, it has the satisfaction of going from some old scrape iron to a finished product. The only thing I had to buy was, one piece of all thread $6.00.

Just like taking an old tractor that looks like it is ready for the scrap pile and bring it back to life....:-) :-)

Looks like you could pull a train with it! I used a bearing seperator and 3 point pulley on mine. It was kinda tough though!

Horror stories, I heard so many of them when it comes to removing that front pulley, even breaking the pulley. So I decided to make a puller that I did not have to use a torch and no chance of breaking the pulley. The plate is almost like the one in repair manual, except I will be using porta power(hydraulic) instead of a large puller...
