I'm looking for information on a model super AA 1950 Farmall in the original color of green. Any information would be appreciated.

Might be possible your Super A was within the first 3 months of production of 1950. That would (Could) make it a demonstrator model? Do you see any white paint at all? If I am not mistaken I beleive it would add to the value slightly. Do you have a serial number from under the left seat support?

Lou: I think you will find all Super As had double AA on serial plate in the model designation.

My 47 a has several different colors the last one being red then a light orange but the first is a commerical looking yellow. Where any of the farmall's made as commerical tractor's if so what is the difference.

Spent 23 years in the Army. We had Super As, Ford 601s, INT 340s, and many many CATs painter green.
The government ordered them that way.
Most were used for light work, flight line work or mowing grass.
At Ft Belvoir in 1962 we had INT 140s with belly mowers painted greem. They used them to mow the golf course.

They were painted RED for the most part some ORANGE and YELLOW have never read that any left CHICAGO with a GREEN paint job. Dealer or anyone could paint any color desired. In the fifty pluss years since last one was built who would know when someone could have sandblasted and painted any color. I have seen over the years at shows some really neat paint schemes just for fun like the H painted JOHN DEERE GREEN with a sign under neath saying THE TRACTOR JOHN DEERE WISHED THEY WOULD HAVE BUILT IN 1945. Or the PURPLE JOHN DEERE guy painted for his wife to drive in parades.

Gene,

IH would paint the tractors any color that the customer wanted, and the US Military wasn't just any customer. I'm sure if Uncle Sam said, "I want them painted green," IH painted them green.

Maybe it would make you feel better if we said OLIVE DRAB instead of green?
