Farmall Super H Gets stuck in Gear

Guys,
I"ve got a "53 Super H that every once in a while gets stuck in gear. When it does this I have to take the gear shifter off. Stick the shifter down into the gears and wiggle it around to get the gears back into neutral. Any idea why this might be happening? I think the shifter might be worn on the end the fits down into the gears, but I"m not sure of this because I don"t know what a new shifter looks like. Any help would be great as I"d like to fix this problem. It has never gotten stuck while driving. Just when I leave it in gear and park it. I"ve been trying to park it in neutral with the brake on and that seems to help.
THanks

All the guys are correct about the shift lever. I had an M with the same problem. All I had to do was replace the pin that the lever pivots on. That took care of the problem.

J Spring: Tom has it right, worn shift lever. Have the welder build so it nicely fills one notch on those shift rails. Then grind until it shifts smoothly. It should be close to a perfect rectangle, very slightly rounded on corners.

Worn shifter is the problem. It's very common. A good welder can build it up and regrind to the right profile but obviously you need a rough idea of what it should look like. See if you can find someone who has a good one that you can measure/trace the profile. Or buy a replacement froma junkyard or eBay, they're easy to find.
