Leak could be from any of (3) possible sources. So you need to figure out exactly WHAT is leaking. Possible sources: 1 – Rear main seal in the engine - will leak crankcase oil. 2 – If the tractor has belly pump hydraulics, the hydraulic pump input shaft seal could be leaking. The leak will be hydraulic fluid (is thinner than crankcase oil and more or less clear in color.) Note: If your Super M has live hydraulics (the hyd pump is on the right front side of the engine) it cannot leak hydraulic fluid from beneath the tractor! 3 – Transmission front seals (input shaft and/or hydraulic pump drive shaft seals). These will leak heavy transmission lubricant. Also you can remove the dust cover from the underside ahead of the transmission, shine a light up there and probably see the source of the leak. ----- FWIW #1 is most difficult to correct – requires splitting the tractor. #2 and #3 however are relatively straightforward. These require only minor disassembly (removal of the hydraulic pump, tranny input shaft, etc) to get at. My experience is #3 - transmission shaft seals - is the most common source of leaks – and fortunately also the easiest (and cheapest) to correct.
