Hydro Question

I should probably follow my own advice when I tell people that if ya don't know what you are doing, just stay the he!! out of there! :>)

But, since I'm somewhat reasonably wrench proficient and totally bull-headed, if I can find this irritating little problem without the tractor having to make another trip to town, it sure would be nice.

Anyway, I had a cooler leak and lost about 10 gallons of hydro fluid. So, before I fill 'er back up again, I'd like to pull this cover plate and see if I can find anything obviously wrong in there.

Can I access that forward pressure relief valve thru this cover or do I have to come up thru the bottom?

The IT manual shows that little bugger as living behind that plate, but you know how those manual schemetacs are. :>)

The darned manual says that everything in the ol' heifer can be accessed from the outside except the charge pump, the hydro pump and the motor.

My pee brain is tellin' me that those items sure must be okay or it wouldn't pull in reverse the way it does. And again, pee brain says that the problem has got to be a leak in the valving or a line on that forward side.

What the hey, perhaps I'm gettin' ready to make a basket case. :>)
