I posted here 7 pages back in regard to this tractor and 2nd tag. Haven't had much feedback at this point. Going to try again!!

The IH serial # is FOS 3373 making it a very late model Fairway 12. Think this tractor came from factory as yellow. I don't have any history on the tractor. Previous owner died and tractor sat inside for several years.

Had only yellow paint under 2nd tag. This tag is mounted below gear shift lever. After that tag was attached it had another coat of slightly lighter yellow followed with a coat of miltary green. And at some point hand brushed with red.

A.C.C. was the entity who apprently 1st received this tractor as 2nd tag shows delivery date of 2-24-38 as a TRACTOR MOWER MFR'S MODEL FAIRWAY 12
Gross Wt 3900# Max Speed 10MPH

Anyone have any idea what A.C.C. stands for???

No doubt some government designation. If it was AAC I would say Army Air Corp.

The A.C.C. registation # for the tractor is followed by a small stamp or triangle shaped seal with the capital letters AC and the number 272 underneath. All inside the seal. Tag itself is alumimun. Serial # on IH tag & 2nd tag match. There is no indication that it ever had any decals other then the two tags.

Has rubber tires, pto (which shows some wear), has flip up seat, throttle is on steering column,
no generator or starter, no belt pulley, big brake drums in the wheels hubs.

What color should it be painted??

Anyone have a paint code # handy for IH Industrial Yellow??

Would like to hear from anyone with their thoughts about this tractor. Can email photos.

Have been away from computer today until a little while ago.

Want to thank everyone for information they have provided. Have several emails to answer.

Printing everything off and putting into a folder for reference. Never have too much info with a project of this sort.

Anyone else have anything -- please email or post. Any and all comments welcome.

the cast rear in the back with brake drums inside is correct for a fairway12. they are the same as an i12. brake pedal on the right to run both brakes. clutch on the left. the front cast may add a little wieght, they are for a 14, which tells me its a very late model. must have been made late 37 or put together very early 38. one of the last made. the drawbar is not correct for a 12, niether are the supports, but they will work. fenders, hood, motor all appear to be correct for your 12. flip up seat is correct for a later 12. tag your talking about is were the decal for shifter goes. pg

ACC did not come into existance until several years later.

Hope to hear from some you other regulars

interesting yes. 3900 pounds, yeah that sounds heavy for a 12 but brake drums on the axles? that sounds like maybe some heavy duty conversion? yes, I'd like to see pics.

Thats roughly the same weight as my O14 those back wheels are heavy! The orchard also have the rear drums cast in, but they haven't been machined smooth for the brakes.

Years ago I had a FAirway 12. It has real beefy rear axles and a heavy duty brake drums. the belly I believe was wrapped under and cast like a 10-20

You can email me some of those pictures. Are there any casting letters on the engine? Hal
PS: Must be a big tractor to weigh 3900 lbs.
