Glen, I havent critically read all those articles but know BobM has some darn good n well detailed schematics for IHC you could also follow. The main generic things you need are usually a conversion to Negative gorund if youre not already there,,,,, ,,,swap any coil leads on coil ignition systems to match the ground,,,,, ,,,reverse the ammeter leads if grounds are reversed so it will read correctly,,,,,upgrade the main charging system wiring to 10 gauge if you use like a 50 amp Alternator, thats the wiring from the alternators main output to the ammeter and from the ammeter to the battery or starter wherever it gets its hot battery feed,,,,, ,,,,change any lights bulbs to 12 volt,,,,, ,,,,, if its a coil ignition EITHER add a voltage dropping (12 to 6) in line series ignition Ballast Resistor after the ignition switch and ahead of the old 6 volt coil, or use a new full 12 volt rated coil,,,,, ,if its a GM 10SI Alternator, it will require switched excitation voltage to its lil No.1 side terminal for it to charge, take a look at Bobs Wiring Diagrams or the articles you mentioned and I recommend a 10 ohm current limiting protection resistor in the circuit if nones there via an idiot type light etc. John T
