My pump doesn"t seem to match the Pesco or Thompson pumps shown in the parts manual. Mine does not have any relief ball check valve and can be split in half by removal of two 3/8" x 1 3/4 bolts. The opening in the engine casting also does not have a seal. Rather, there was (emphasis on WAS) a O-ring type gasket around the shaft boss on the pump. When I split the pump apart, there is a oval rubber ring in a groove around the two gears. This rubber ring and the outer gasket around the drive gear is all that"s wrong. My local Case IH dealer says he can"t get parts for the Super C pumps..not to menntion this one doesn"t match the Super C drawings in the Parts Book. Mine appears to have numbers stamped into the pump inlet casting: 3?007R92; ?1101202 D63; 4195P03. THere is also a cast number 05-31. Can anybody tell me 1) where this pump is used and 2) where I might find parts for it? Thanks.

I think the IH number you need for the o-ring around the shaft is 353836R1 (or F37887 will work) and the other one is 353185R1. These numbers show up as part of the repair and gasket kit #355207R91 that should show up in your dealer's book.

I don't have an exploded view of these parts to send you. The first number (or the F number) is an o-ring that fits inside the front part of the pump casting and when the shaft goes through it, that creates the seal to keep hydraulic oil out of the engine. The second number is just described as a seal, but I think that is the one for the middle of the pump. If you can look in your dealers parts book, you will find these seals listed under the kit number 355207R91, but all they give is a listing of the parts with no pictures.

Thanks Big Don - this is the kind of detail info I need. None of the IH dealers I've talked to came up with these numbers. I called my IH dealer and he can order the two seals you identified. The two I need are: external seal - seals around the boss on the housing where it fits into the timing gear housing and internal seal (nnnnot around the drive shaft itself): inside the two halves of the pump around the two gears. Do you have a exploded parts drawing showing this pump and these seals which you could send me? ..either via e-amil, fax or snail mail? Thanks again for the help.

You can try Napa for o-rings too. You can make a replacement gasket yourself by buying some vellemoid gasket material that is near the thickness of the old gasket. Use a small ball peen hammer and just lay the material over the
pump housing and just tap the material lightly
so it's cut. You could do the bolt holes and then install capscrews so the gasket doesn't move.

Researching the Forum archives leads me to think that the number on my pump is 355007R92 - which my local dealer says is an early version of the pumps used on the Super A's and C's. My dealer tells me this has been superseded by the 360689R91 number shown in my Super C parts manual. He can't get any parts for the 360689R91. Any other suggestions for parts source?

I just go to my local hydraulic shop, they measure the O'ring. give me the one that fits.

Haven't had any problems finding O'rings for hydrualic systems.

Keith, If Im going to get an o-ring I do the same thing. I use Gordon Rubber & packing Co in Derby Ct. TEL 203-735-7441 they have every o-ring ever created. But we are not talking about your conventional o-ring. This is square or rectangular in shape on the crossection and fits into the housing groove on the pump.,

Scott, I read jdhdon's post again, he said oval groove around gears, not rectangle or square. O'ring should fit fine in such a groove.....

whats so hard about that, rubber conforms to area it is in. Had one that was square also , shop gave me o'ring that would fit, put it in groove use Hyster seal to hold in place . Put things back together.

I have and advantage, real good friend is Hyster mechanic of 25 yrs, If I'm not sure just call him. He is the first one to show me how to put "standard" o'ring in non standard groove.

Mornin Don, I dont have part numbers in front of me but you might try Columbia Tractor in Claverack, Ny tel 518-828-1781. They have always been able to get me parts for my Super A pump.
