I"ve been trying to figure out how to post more than 1 pic at a time by posting them in the body of the message. I tried using the "tag" line in my photobucket account, but when I preview the post, the pic just comes up as a ? in a little blue box. The tag line already has the < > things around it. I tried using the regular URL and then putting < > around it, but that doesn"t work either.
I think part of what gives me fits is that I"m using a Mac, not a PC or Windows. You had mentioned a "print screen" button on your keyboard. Well, I "aint got one, although I can highlight large areas of the screen with the cursor (or is that "curse-er") and copy them, so I suppose that is the same thing, right? "Aint no right click or left click either- just one click on my mouse. Generally you can do all the same stuff on a Mac, but you have to know where the menu for it is-and I don"t.
Anyway, do you have any wisdom for a dope like me?
Paul

Ok time for another Tutorial.
Assuming you have photos up loaded to photobucket.

Now you want to add more than one photo to your post.

third party image

1st go to photobucket and highlight the TAG line. Right click on it and choose copy.

third party image
Then go to your post.Get curser in the window. Right click and choose paste.

third party image
As you can see. After you paste the whole TAG line is copied to the body of your post. For the next image. You repeat the procedure with the next image. Just make sure your curser is below the last tag line you added.
Hope this helps. I am sure you can do it.

Hi Kelly,
Well, we"ll try this one more time.

third party imageP1010034.jpg" alt="Image hosting by Photobucket">

I did it EXACTLY as you described, although I just put in one photo, instead of two. For some reason this just isn"t working with my computer. I guess I"m doomed. :>(
Thanks,
Paul

Paul you use the URL

You put carrot (<) then "img src=spaceURL" carrot(>), remove quotation marks

It will look like everything I have inside parentheses ((<)img src= URL>))
Just remove ALL the parentheses.

No, when I put it in, it never has the "I"ve tried putting < > on each end of the address, but that doesn"t help.

Does that look right?
Hey, I happened to go past where your mom lives the other day, just east of hyw 42. Nice place for horses!

Hi Paul,

Lemme try. You've got to get that left carrot, br, right carrot out of the address. That is a different instruction for html. Just delete that part and it should go right in.

Okay Allan, I"ll try to figure it out your way, although I"m not sure what "br" is that you refered to. These addresses are the next line down from the URL line that I used in the attempt above.
img src="http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c331/pbackus/

img src="http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c331/pbackus/
p1010045.jpg" alt="Image hosting by Photobucket"

The problem is not getting it in the "optional Image URL" box, it"s getting two of them in the text. I"ll tell ya, nothing makes me feel dumber than trying to do stuff on the computer that won"t work!

Aw,

Okay, now I see what is happening.

If you want to put in multiple photos, ya have to forget all about that URL box. Just type the code right in with your message.

That's why your broken link had the left carrot, br, right carrot. That URL box is a html language box and it saw you hit the space bar (which is the same as telling it to start a new line in HTML language).

The box can only be used fer one picture (At least, as far as my little pee brain knows). :>)

Now which code would that be exactly? In this thread I haven"t used the "Image URL" box ever. I just copy and paste the URL line (or any of the other two lines that they give me with my photo) right in the text of the message and it comes out like this:
Link
P1010045.jpg

Am I supposed to add the < > on each end of the URL? I"ve tried it both ways, and neither seems to work. Also, I never added the "<"br It just seems to appear.
Thanks for your patience!
Paul

Paul,

There is something wacky going on either with your keyboard (which I doubt) or that site.

Try this as it seems to work (at least from my end): Just copy the complete tag and paste it in here. It seems to work that way.

In my photobucket album, there are three boxes below each picture. One is URL- that"s the one that works in the Image box below. The second is labeled TAG, the third is IMG. Which is the one that you would use for posting it right in the text part of the message? The one I am posting here is the "TAG" one, just copied and pasted with no additions.

I"m not even sure how you are getting that picture, because after posting, it usually has that ? box on my screen.

Hi Paul,

I don't know what is going on. Now, your broken link has the left carrot, br, right carrot stuff again.

Have you got some high powered firewall thing going on that won't allow transmission of data out of your machine 'er something? Does your server run an encription routine on all stuff going out?

Ya got me. ????

Boy, not that I"m aware of on either of those things. I"ll have to check with my local Mac computer guru. The thing is, it works fine to post one pic in the "Optional Image" box below. I sure do appreciate you (and all the others) taking your time to try to puzzle it out with me. Thanks! :>)
It"s a weird thing.

Hi Pard,

I'm just guessing 'cause I can't get at your picture, but are you using the URL of a thumbnail instead of the actual full sized picuture?

Before you copy the "properties", the full blown picture has to be open on your screen.

Dunno,

Allan

ya it hasn't been working for me either lately. my pics are even loaded up on tractor shed here and i still can't get more than one at a time posted.

yes, mom does have a nice place there on county line road. wish it was that nice when i still lived there back in the 80's and early 90's. she owns the pine woods there too between her and hwy 42. just that little house in the middle that causes problems, not that we haven't tried to get along over the years. their just some neighbors you could do with out if you know what i mean.
