Can some of you gurus out there give me the run down on the difference between the 300, the 350, and the same for the 400 and 450? Using all gas models, were the 50 series just updated, newer, bigger, or what? Little information I guess I haven't ween here before. Thanks guys, Harley

300- 169 cu in made from 55 to 56
350 175 cu in made from late 56 to mid 58
400 264 cu in made from 55 to late 56
450 281 cu in made from late 56 to 58
These were the 4 cyl gas models and the white (cream) color was put on the grill and side hood inserts on the 50 series and the power steering was more common on the 50 series. All tractors were available with 2 pt fast hitch with some 2 pt 3 pt conversions available thru I.H. on the tractors. or the standard fixed drawbar was also an option. Live hydraulics and live idpto on all. The 300-35- was decendent of H and Super H series and the 400-450 grew out of the M Super and Mta series. Pretty good horsepower for that era and many of them still kicking around. I currently have a 300, 350, and 400 all restored in my collection. What else do you want to know? Migraine

Ok thanks migraine. I didn"t know if the 300 and 350 ran at the same time or not. Looks like the 350 was an updated 300 and the 450 an updated 400. Thanks. Harley
