I was using the Super C yesterday to plow the 16" of snow we got and it ran fine. Today I went out this morning to do some more and I let it warm up for 20mins before I used it and I just started to plow and there was collant coming out of the radiator cap!!. During the fall I had the radiator off and cleaned the system out. and put in radatior seal stuff. I got new fan systme and all new belts. Once the engine cooled a litte bit I started it up and I could not see any water in the radiator moving just sitting there. And the radiator was ice cold while the block was hot!!. What is going on here?? I shut down the tractor right away after it started to overheat, did I do any damage to the engine?? Thanks for the help
Andrew

I had an H do this once...found the water pump shaft broken. A surprise indeed, but not too tough to fix.

Sounds like it froze up so the coolant can't circulate. Check your antifreeze. Could be a water pump problem or some other blockage too, but I'm betting on the freeze up.

Possible problems include:
Low % of antifreeze. 50/50 (normal)or 60%

Antifreeze, and 40 % water for the strongest mix. Check it with a float type tester.

Collapsed hose (internal break)

Plugged up core (look in with a good light at the top of the tubes)

loose impeller on water pump (happens)

Good luck finding it,

JimN

I found the trouble it was that the coolant was not strong enough. It only showed that it was good for about 0 or so and this moring it got down to 5. I think that it froze up were the pump meets the block. Must have had some sluch I dont think a complete freeze there was no ice in the Radiator. Anyway after lettig it sit for a half hour I went out there it fired it back up and everything was working right with the water russing through the raditior. I though the mix was strong enough I guess not. Thanks Andrew
