How do you jack up the front of an H? Do you put a 4x4 under the frame behind the front wheels being carefull not to hit the front pully. What it the best and safest way.
Thanks

Put a barrel jack right back there by the throwout bearing grease hole.

Depends on what you need to do. If you are just changing a tire, I always drive one wheel up onto a few boards so the other wheen is off the ground.

I can not start the tractor at this time. I have it tore down for painting. I do not have a barrel jack, will a 2 ton floor jack work? Where do you suggest I place the jack.
Thanks

Put a four by four on the receiver of the jack and lift it back by the throw out bearing grease hole.

That ol tractor will rock right back on her honches.

I wouldnt do that.Too unstable to me.I just get some big wooden blocksset my floor jack on those then jack it up in the same area Allans rewfering to.The jack will roll on the block, and if I need to move the blocks I simple slide them over which ever way they need to go.One slip to the side the front end will be on the ground or worse on you.
