Nice post!!! We're celebrating here at UW-Platteville, too, as I am continuing my FFA experience at the Collegiate level, too. Man, Drive Your Tractor to School days were the best. The first time we did it was my Sophomore year, and I drove the 3588 2+2. Took second place, behind a kid who drove his toliet paper decorated John Deere riding lawn mower like 10 miles to get there. The second year, my junior year, I built a cardboard cab for my Super M out of some cardboard appliance boxes, plexi-glas, construction paper, and lots of blue and yellow duct tape. I was voted best of show. My senior year I thought I'd move up in the world and got a metal cab for free from a guy. It came off of a cub, and he said it would fit an A,B,or C. I said I was going to try it on an M, and he wished me the best of luck. I got it on, bolted and wired it up, it had OPENING side doors which were so cool, but it sat too high up so I had to build cardboard extensions for my feet. It was SO DARN cold compared to my comfy cardboard and SO DARN noisy. It fell down on top of me on my way to school, too, and almost blocked me from getting to the clutch. The cardboard cab was better by far. I got 3rd place that year, just because of my decorations and the cab on the ol' M. LOL. Good times, many good times...
