I am looking for glass jar precleaner for my farmall M. I have found a few but they all have different jars. Which is correct, the square Ball jar or the square Kerr jar? Thanks for the info.

In my previous post I stated that the correct jar was a Ball Special with four vertical bars at the corners...not quite right on that one. It has six vertical bars (two on each side that are opposite the "Ball Special" label. RustyFarmall has it right on the size though...I looked at the original on my 52 H last night.

It"s the Ball "Special" that originally came with the pre-cleaner. The correct jar will also have four vertical bars at the corners...not all Ball jars will have these. I"m not sure what is the correct size, but with all the knowledge on this sight, i"m sure the answer is coming.

You are correct, Ball Special, one pint, wide mouth. Those jars are getting scarce, which is why you see so many different jars. If you are a stickler for original, you need the Ball special. If you just want a jar, any wide mouth canning jar will work. I have even see the one quart size on a few Ms.
