Hydraulic Filter on 826

Silly newbie question here. I recently replaced the hydraulic filter on my 826 and now notice that the cover is dripping a bit. It's the type with two bolts and an o-ring. I probably rolled the o-ring or something... and yes I did lube it! Anyway, If I remove the cover to repair this leak will ALL the oil drain out of reservoir, or just what's in the filter area? I didn't pay enough attention when I was doing it 6 months ago and now don't remember. Many thanks!

Thanks Tractor Vet! Better to know in advance than trying to stem a 20 gallon tide of gushing hydraulic fluid. I still have an unopened six gallon bucket of THF, and a new o-ring, so I'm set.

Does this apply to a 1066 hyd filter also that is on right side under cab. Been wanting to do this as bought used and not knowing when changed last. Only reason I have not done is that I figured all hyd/rearend oil would drain when I did. If not, I will get IH filter and do.

All that will come out of the filter will be about a gallon and a half to two gallion. and one thing that i have found over the years is that the square cut O/Ring is missing on the tin back plate that most guys do not know that there is suppose to be one on it and when changing the hdy filter on ALL the tractors always replace the Gskt. on the ones that you have to remove the whole cover and on the ones that just have the cap and the two wing nuts always replace the O/Ring as it gets hard and does not seal and if it leaks then it is sucking air even though your hdy's may work it is still sucking air.
