Farmall C vs. Super C

I recently purchased a Farmall with the sticker indicating Super C. However, the info at the clutch is this: 2.10.T, which I think tells me that the tractor was built October 2, 1950. Publications tell me that the Super C was not built until 1951. SO! What do I have? Was the tractor modified in the last 55 years to upgrade from an original C to a Super C? Or was it an early model Super C?

2*10*T means that part was cast Feb 10, 1950. not the other way around. Originally white C's had (we think) serials from 47010 through 54411, you might check yours. To certain people they are valuable, at least they think they are. Look at your clutch and brake pedals, if straight you have a C, if curved, a Super C. Although parts, even engines and sheet metal (Super C has a taller grille) can be replaced, there really is not an "upgrade" to a Super C. Defining factor is the serial number.

The casting codes do not indicate when a tractor was assembled. They indicate when a part was cast. Thre can be considerable difference.

What is the serial number on the tractor?

You can tell from the serial number. If the SN contains 6 numbers it's a Super C. They started at sn 100001. They have disc brakes too. Hal
