I just inherited a 1952 Farmall Super C and it has been converted to propane. Will it be hard to convert it back to gas? It looks like someone torched the sheet metal to fit the propane tank on it.

Sure good to hear about others that have C's and SuperC's.They sure are special little units. They have no idea how small they are.Sorta like the little engine that thought it could! I bought one for my first grandson and restored it to like new.By the time we got it done I was blessed with grandson number two. So I went on the hunt for another Farmall and was lucky enought to find a 51 MD. We will be working on it in the spring These Farmalls sure are great old tractors.

It won"t be that hard to get it to run back on gas. You will just have to get another hood that isn"t cut, a gas tank with the mounting hardware and a carb. More than likely your carb was probally "spud" in for the propane and also gutted out which means you don"t have a float so it would be easier to just get another one rather than try to rebuild that one. Also you may have to plug off the water lines that run through the vaporizer depending how its set up. I got a F-20 that was used on propane from my grandfather that had set for about 25 years and once I got a gas carb and tank set up on it, it started right up. Do you have some pics of the the setup? I might be interested in buying it from you.

Hi Joe
Welcome to the Farmall Super C owners club.
I know nothing about converting from propane back to gas, and I know even less about converting from gas to propane, but I have 2 Super C Farmalls and one C Farmall that thinks he is a Super C!

Is this the Farmall Super C users club? I have a Super C too and always am looking for others that own one. So I can ask questions? Fast hitch maybe?

I have two C's and a Super C. Only bought the Super C for the two row mounted planter that went with it. Fixing up the planter is one of the projects on my plate.
