Im wanting to put a fast hitch assmbly on my 460 farmall but the one that I have is very sloppy in the sway limiter. This unit came off another Farmall 460 and when I pulled the brush hog the hitch banged about very badly. Its all apart on shop floor so any ideas about making it more solid like a standard fixed draw bar?? Will the fast hitch on my 460 make the tractor more valuable ? Thanks.

As CNKS indicates it is likely in need of bushings.
All the pin and locator holes are also probably out of whack (egg shaped). I would Drill the holes to a larger size and use larger pins. Grade 8 hardened bolts are also nice. Make the holes locational fit, (look it up for different sizes). I hope this helps,

thanks for the ideas, has anybody ever seen the braces shown in parts book as extra equipment. i bet that would stop a lot of the sway. i would have to make my own.

Home made work well if your intent is to lock the hitch in the middle within 1/2" or so. Be careful to keep the plates you make operational through the vertical travel of the hitch. Things will bend if you don't.

Likely all the bushings are worn -- they can be replaced, for a price. Machine shop did the ones in my 460 High Utility (same rear end as yours) fasthitch for $425. You can probably find a used fasthitch for that price, but it will be worn too. Must be only one source for the bushings. This machinist was very busy working on high dollar jobs, and had difficulty getting the bushings and working my job in. Took a long time. I suppose they can be made locally if you can find someone to do it. You are not going to get fast hitch to work like a drawbar. That is a problem with the unit as the hitch pulls from under the tractor at the same point that the swinging drawbar attaches to, if so equipped. It inherently has slop in it.
