Just got me a old red Farmall.A friend told me to go to E-bay. Said parts were cheap there and I could find any thing I wanted, for my M. Did any body catch the spltter hydrulic valve that is suppose to make 2way clyinders work on a H and M. $207.50 plus shipping? And a pair of used lights $68.00 and on! People are nuts.or they have to much money! I think the best buys are in YT classified adds. Found the same valve there for a $150.00 or trade for some old duals. I found a old set of duals for $45.00 Think I will try to trade the guy. and put the valve on E-Bay

I got a rear lift assembly for my Massey Pony off Ebay recently. I was hoping to get it for $40 or $50. Ended up winning it for 99 cents!!! Got a bunch of other parts from the same guy, spare steering link, clutch pedal, 2 rear inner wheels, steering arms, brake covers, and 6 other items (can"t remember right now), the total was $40! I was very happy for 40 bucks.

Dink: Auctions are the only true value of any commodity. A classified add is clearly one man's opinion until it is sold, then you truly don't know if that price was high enough. Just look at YT photo classifieds, some items disappear after one add. There are several items on YT photo adds that have been coming back monthly or bi monthly for 2 and 3 years. I can think of one tractor that shows up every 3 months and has been doing so for 5 years now. Clearly that one is over priced, either that or he is H@## of an offensive individual.

I might add, auction with reserves often don't result in sales. It may look like it, but truly not the case. Then you have auctions with with groups or individuals running prices, it could well be a group of individuals willing to spend enough money in commissions to establish price. They win some and they loose some.

Would you rather have a set of new lights for about the same price? Of course the new lights do not have the "GUIDE" logo on them, and neither does the lens have the logo. There is a reason the used lights bring that much money, they are not being made anymore.

Not every item on Ebay sells like that. Remember it is an auction and it is the same as when you go to a farm/estate auction. Some ones are way high and some way low. That is auction life for ya.

Yeah and every auction..live or ebay..is full of shill bidders. I caught one guy up in it just yesterday...it was so obvious..you'd think they'd at least be a bit more discreet. They put this stuff up for auction and then call their shill...go bid this stuff up. I have done some business with this particular individual and he is richer than 10 feet up a bull's a$$ and yet, he resorts to using a shill bidder to gouge folks with. It's all about ethics..some people have none.
