All, I am about ready to start to rebuild the engine of my '51 cub. I have some books on restoring Farmalls and cubs, but none really get into rebuilding the engine. Does anyone have a recommendation for a good engine rebuild book that covers the head and engine rebuilding process? Thanks!
Kurt

Thanks guys. I have an I&T shop manual for my MF35. I will have to check out the one for a Farmall. I was looking for a book that was detailed in head rebuilding including valve grinding. Same for the block. Kind of a engine rebuild for dummys book. Maybe there is one for that subject too. Thanks again for the ideas.

The IH manual is the beast I have seen, you cna get one form your dealer or online from www dot binderbooks dot com

The cub is a flat head, so there isn't much to do on the head. then engine is not sleeved, so if it is badly worn it will have to be bored. not a job for the average shade tree mechanic.

You can get an I&T shop manual from OEM Tractors at 1-800-283-2122. They have tractor manuals here on this forum too. Look under MarketPlace
on the top left of your monitor. Hal
