Hello I rebuilt the motor is my 310 706 last winter and had injectors rebuilt. I got it ready for some chisel plowing yestarday. Hooked the chisel up and headed down the road. I have a couple good size hills to go up and down. It was warmed up to where it should be and running great until I was going down one of the long hills and letting the engine hold me back then got back on the throttle down on the flats and it was sputtering at higher rpms. I reved it a couple of times started heading up the next hill and it eventually cleared up, any help?? what do you think>> thanks

[quote="LA in WI"](quoted from post at 00:59:43 12/31/09) Picture this scene with wire-checked corn:

Just before sunset.

Clear skies.

Slight breeze.

Corn about 6-10" high.

Freshly cultivated.

You are looking from east end of field, with sun glistening off (or thru) the leaves.

You can see all kinds of geometric rows, at many angles.

Beautiful. Just beautiful.

It sure was... although Dad quit check-row planting by the late '40s, I still remember seeing it well into the '50s, at least in NE Iowa. I know Dad never used check-row after going to a mounted planter on the C, I think in 1950, but it had the roll of wire with the planter. When Mom left the farm (mid-'90s) there was a very nice pull type 2 row IH planter left in the barn with the wire and it didn't look like it had ever been un-rolled or the stakes pushed in the ground.

A quick guess-try your filters, fuel and air. Those 310ers just love to pull their hearts out. Had 2 706x310 as well as 2 706x282s. The 310s were the overall favorite over all the years, from 1946 H to Maxiums and red Cases!. Also if your fuel is not fresh or has a wee drop of moisture performance will be reduced. Hope this helps. Keep us posted as to what was wrong. Could be carbon, maybe.....QR..

Ok thanks guys. Its probably not carbon I just rebuilt everything less than a year ago. I'm changing the oil and filters any how so I'll see if the fuel filters makes a difference. Also the fuel is still from early last fall maybe your right with the moisture and little old. thanks again I'll post back in a week or so. Trent
