I have a few questions I would appreciate some help with. We are restoring a Mod. A, near as we can figure it's a 1942, did they not produce tractors in 1943? Also can someone explain the differences between a Mod. C and a Cub. We also found what was labeled to be a B. It really looked like an A. Is there alot of differences between the two models? Any help on these questions would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Thank You for all your replys. I see why I was having problems telling the difference, there is not much difference at all. Always helps when they leave the model plate on the tractor. Thank You all again..

Models A,B and C all used the 113 cubic inch engine. The cub used a little flat head engine and was a much lighter tractor. The A had a wide front and the B had a narrow front. There might have been a little differance in the rear end too, i'm not sure. they were both offset I think. The C's engine was centered on the rear end.

The B was centered also. It was the seat that was offset. Here is pic....this is a sale tractor I considered but did not buy.

Yessir. This fella had dummied up a three point hook up and had a mower on the back end. Can't remember where this tractor was located but thinking it was over in western Michigan. I wasn't impressed with the condition so I let her go buy and bought this one a month or two later.
Just needed to replace the Monroe seat and it was ready to go.

Models A,B,C are very similar tractors, The A and B both used the same C113 OHV engine and 4 speed transmissions, while the C has the same C113 OHV engine but a differnt transmission. The A is a wide front while the B and C are narrow fronts. The Cub looks similar to the A but it is smaller and has a smaller C90 flathead engine and a three speed transmission, hope that helps.
