Broken pieces from Transmission

Decided to drain the oil from the transmission/rear end on my "51 Super A today due to its "brown" color. When it was finished I stuck my finger in the drain hole to see if there was any crud laying on the bottom and found these 2 broken pieces. I can't find anything in the Parts Book that they might have broken off of. Transmission works ok, usual gear noise, no PTO/belt pulley on this tractor. Any ideas?

I've recently tore the tranny down completely and the only thing that those might of came from is on the shifter rail.

take the top off and see if there is anything broke off the forks that slide the gears, or the tabs that hold the rail nuts missing.

I'm guessing it's part of the shifter mechanism. There's some sheetmetal parts there that have some little bent tabs.

When I drained the transmission on my B, I found most, but not all of the teeth from the oiler gear...

Robert: How thick are these? Is there any taper? Your photo shows two nice square ends at bottom and rather rough at top. Could it have been one piece, at one time, and joined at those roigh ends? Just a thought,is it magnetic?

Pieces are 1/16 inch thick,and not tapered. Rough edge at top is where they were broken. They appear to be 2 separate pieces, I tried fitting them together but the breaks don't match. They both broke at the curve, but one piece is longer than the other. As big Fred suggested, they might be tabs from the shift linkage, but I think they are too thick and stiff for that. Pieces are not magnetic.

Robert: I expect Fred is right, it's been some years since I had the top off my 130 transmission, and he is right, there are parts in that shift slidder that could look like that. You take the top off and I suspect you'll see where those came from.

I can tell you as recently as 6 years ago most of those shifting slides under the cover were still available from CaseIH. I had to buy detent balls and springs at that time.
