Be sure and check the deck of your head, they are bad to leak between the 2 inside cylinders, lot"s of times they are warped up in the center. Also, after you have ran your engine aftyer overhaul, and thermostat has opened and closed, re-torque your head, it"s aggravating, but may save you some leaks later. try to adjust your valves with correct clearance, a couple thousanths can make a good running engine ,run excellent(hope you put in new valves to make a good overhaul).Clean your lower block o-ring grooves real good, and de-burr with emory cloth.I fix a bucket of clean soapy water, and dip the liner in the bucket before installing it, and helpsslide against the oring and into place better. If the top of your block has any dings and nicks, I"d put copper coat on both sides of my head gasket for sure, I usually do anyway.1 more thing, go toCase/I.H. dealer and get a new oil pump gasket for the aluminum plate over the cogs of your oil pump, unless someone has leveled it, this aluminum plate will be warped between the bolt holes, lay some sand paper down on a very smooth steel surface, then lay the mounting side of the aluminum cover on the sandpaper and while holding it down even slide it back forth and level the surface back to flat.Trust me, these gaskets are cigarette paper thin, don"t put more than one, just level the aluminum and you"ll have oil pressure like you"ve never had, I"ve doubled it this way on several tractors. Well, I"ll quit here and let someone else give you there opinions.
