Hi Les, I have a picture of the 10-20 tractor. If you want to see it send me an email. Hal (El Toro)
PS: You can compare the two tractors.

Looks like a 15-30 to me mate, but I don,t think it's seen shed for a while.

It looks like the McCormick-Deering 10-20 made from 1923 to about 1938. There should be some casting numbers on the engine. We had a 1926 10-20 bought before I was born. Hal

It's an early 15-30. Gas tank on a 10-20 is flatter and more oval. This tractor also has two tanks in tandom (one to inject water) not found on the 10-20. It is early pre 25 because of the short louvers and the front wheel hub is petaled rather than round.

Thanks. I thought maybe it was bigger than that. Never had anything like that around here that I can remember. We went right from horses to Letter Series! LOL

They made a 15-30 and a 22-36. Our neighbor had a 15-30 and he only used for belt work. He had had a threshing machine and did custom threshing
before many farmers had combines. It had solid rubber tires for driving it on the county roads
and towing the thresher. It would spin in a field that had an incline. They just used another
tractor to tow to it where they set up.

I follow that thresher when I was a teen and they fed you like a king. They paid pretty good too for that period of time. In 1950 they had the thresher set near this barn to blow the straw into the straw mow. The straw struck a lit light
bulb and set the mow on fire. The owner of the 15-30 jumped off the thresher and onto the 15-30
and tried to pull the thresher from the barn using the flat belt. It would just spin without any tread and the thresher was lost. Not many dry eyes around there. Hal
