I have been looking at getting a plow to make the garden alittle bigger this year. In my area There is a JD 2 bottom trailer plow and a fast hitch 2 bottom plow for a Super C. I have a Super C with a fast hitch. I"m just looking to plow a garden (never been plowed sod now) and go to a plow day. The fast hich plow is missing the "cultors" is that important to have the JD plow is complete. What would be the better choice? Thanks Andrew

Buy the trailing plow. Then tell me where the mounted plow is located. I,ve been looking for one of those.

I would agree with Matt using the fasthitch plow.
When I had a Super C I could just back up to the plow and it was installed. I didn't get off the tractor. I did blow one of the hydraulic lines
when I had just finished the last furrow and lifted the plow. I made up 2 new hoses and replaced both of them. Hal

If I were you I would grab up that fast hitch plow in a heart beat. It definitly makes it easier to plow than with a trailer plow. It also alowas you to square off your field better. I love my fast hitch plows. I have 3. One for each tractor I plow with. 314 for the 340 and 450 and a 414 for the 400D. As for coulters I personally do not use them. If you really must have them they are readilly availible at most tractor junk yards. A few people will argue that you must have them, But even in sod I disagree. Disk it once over then plow and then disk again. This will give you a much better seed bed. Good luck and enjoy. Matt

Fast hitch easy? Fairly easy, get a manual to adjust depth wheel, watch angele adjust on fast hitch for 1st share if you have it on plow. Used a 3bottom on 350D to do garden couple years back- handy to just lift, backup and do another furrow. RN
