Love my Cub Lowboy but have few questions. I have a belly mower and 3 point. Have to switch over the hydraulics each time to move from mower to 3 point. Any upgrade for this ? Is a hi low range available on any of these cubs ? Also, is it possible to add a temp guage somewhere ? Hate to just have faith that the temp is OK. last question, is ther any way to add a couple horsepower to this tractor ?

I believe the more well-known term is "creeper gear" for the numbered Loboys. Still, they're rare and tough to find at a decent price in decent condition.

Hey Greg. I added a 3-point to my 154 a few years ago. I had "tee" come with the 3 point so I don't have to convert, but both operate at the same time. There are blocks I think you can install in the one that you are not using that would stop it from falling. There is also a valve that isolates the two systems. Don't think you can buy a replacement from IH, but I think some have installed a 3rd pary valve. I haven't seen a need for a temp gage. I'm sure it could be done. As for the extra HP, that would be nice, but again I don't know exactly what could be done. If you haven't already, be sure to visit the Yahoo group dedicated to these cool tractors "IHcubloboyseries". There is a ton of people there that can help with each of your questions.

Cant help on the hydraulics,I just have the belly mower. There is a high/low range transmission, but its expensive and kinda hard to find.Wouldnt worry about a temp gauge. If the system is clean and the radiator isnt full of gunk, and not OVER or UNDER filled, itll be just fine.Ive had mine going on 3 years now and have never had it run hot, even when the grill screen was alittle clogged up.
