Heart attack

You've been much too quiet lately, we haven't heard from you in awhile? A good dose of the guys here at YT will do wonders for your health. Seriously, it's great to hear your doing quite well.

Tell Carol to cook you up a good feed of salt herring and Nova Scotia blue potatoes. If you keep your mouth full of potatoes during the meal, then you don't have to pick all those little bones out of the herring. My grandfather always claimed salt herring, blue potatoes and a little Seven Seas black rum would keep any Nova Scotians heart healthy. He did live into his 80s. I think it's matter of putting the salt herring in your mouth bones and all, it's bound to slow consumption of food. I suppose they don't even make Seven Seas any more 25 years after the buy out of the distillery by multi-nationals.

However the eating and controling it are not a lot different. I was never a big fan of cakes, cookies, pie, candy, etc. I dispise salt, sugar and grease, as in fast foods. My three eating and drinking sins were Coke, bread and potatoes. I eliminated the Coke and reduced the bread and potatoes substancially. I reduced this too far in the beginning and had to up it a bit. I was a bit concerned about 6 months into it as I was loosing weight too easily. At that point I set out to see if I could stop weight loss. I did and now I'm back at loosing again only at a reduced rate.

I could just hear Lloyd echoing through the house. He would be rather abrupt, your either ailing or your well, no half way measure with Lloyd. Why in H@## doesn't he get a computer, he'd be good on YT discussion. Tell him I don't want to hear his pain about being too poor. I do remember what he got for the last 10 acres of the farm.

My best friend dropped like a rock at the age of 53. Heart exploded and he was dead when he hit the floor.

So, one night I was feeling a little dizzy and went to the clinic. Been on those darned expensive pills ever since.

Doctor watches me like a hawk, but says although he can keep the heart going, he still can't do anything about my "lightweight" brain. :>(
