Wheeee! :>)

Don't ya just love this old worn out iron? :>)

Went into town and bought a set of Champion D-21 plugs fer my old gasser 'cause it is the only heat range they had.

Also tried to buy the solid state ignition there too, but they seemed to think that it couldn't be done. Go figure.

So, I then head over to the Red Shop and have a long visit with them.

Red Shop says that they have installed somewhere around 80 of the things to cure the "cold plug, hot plug" thing and also for distributors that are getting a little loose in the goose.

He says that the electronic ignition is very forgiving as far as the air gap and will cover up most all of these "wobbly shaft" ills.

Dunno, I ordered one and it will be here next week. We shall see, I guess. :>)

If you can find any Champion D23s they work great for fouling. Once you get the ei on it you probably won't have problems especially if you open the gap a bit.

Sounds like an intreduction to today's soap opera on daytime TV. Keep on coming, a piece at a time. Do not let your faithful followers down..... ..... ...QR..

Have no experience on 6 cylinder gassers. None of those ever sold in Quebec. The guys here started to go Diesel in the early 50s. Only gassers were small ones up to the 504 model, and most of those were Diesel....QR..

You will probably see a big difference when starting with that hot ignition. Remember when GM came out with HEI? Even at -10 or -15 degrees
it would start like summer. Hal

This one always has started real easy at first twist.

If I can just get rid of that foulin' plug flutter.
