Posted few days back ref. Lift not wanting to pick up disk. Hugh McKay replied helpful info from him. Before was getting some overflow back in crankcase. Figured seal and probably pump since it 46 yrs old and seen lot of use going bad. Replaced pump which improved performance of loft some But did not cure completely. Not external leaks at pump hydraulic box under gas tank. I can push up on lift with my left hand sitting on seat of tractor and lift will go up without straining as much as if I did not help. Think I may have some bad o rings and gaskets in hydraulic box and am getting some bleed by which lowers the pressure some. Lift will pick up everything but disk which is about 500 pds. Do you think Im on right track and believe a kit might help. Another told me he had similar problem pump helped but did not cure put in kit and solved problem... Thanks

Re: 450 gas farmall in reply to Doversix, 03-12-2009 07:36:53
Two years ago I bought mine. It is narrow front, fast hitch, torque works, power steering. It needed a little tlc. It also came with a three bottom plow. I gave 2500. for it.

Re: Super H rear end bearings in reply to Andrew Kappers, 03-08-2009 07:12:32
I've good luck obtaining bearings/seals for my Farmalls from my local Kaman Industrial branch. They can cross the IHC part numbers off the old parts with other mfr's equivalents.

Prices are generally better than at the CIH dealer. Also if the parts are not in stock they can get 'em in 1 - 2 days.

Re: C or Super C in reply to jc newton, 03-09-2009 17:33:39
Post a serial number if you can find it, or a casting code. You could look at the lights, if they are sealed beam it is a super, and if they are teardrop it is a c. But they may have been replaced at some point. A super would not have a fast hitch either.

If case IH discontinued them it was within last year as I bought a whole pile for both my H's in last two years, cheapest I could find was at CaseIH. NAPA was way off.

The one broken prong is likely to be from the internal reg. Pull the alt apart ,install new reg.,problem may be solved.
