Guys, my rule has always been: I love all colors, but if I can't step on, pull, push or turn a switch to start it, I don't wabt it, but neighbor has a W30 on rubber (ok tires) straight but rusty tin, pipes covered, but stuck and complete, want's $600, is it worth it, and are parts available?

Were you going to buy this tractor or not?

Thanks, my thoughts too, but I am used to the fact that none of these tractors are worht what I put into them...they are like guns, I never sell one, I told myself I was going to spend more $ on sound tractors from now on and less time fixing the cheap ones, but I have never been to a parade, a pull or a plow day that had a W30 in it, so I am tempted...It's pretty green and yellow at those events around here (love Johnnies too) but I like to be different, so I'm tempted...willl let ya know

I would initially say yes, but I would have to add that I would like to pull all the spark plugs to see whether water has gotten into the cylinders or not, plus open up the crankcase inspections covers to see if there is rust on the bottom end. If no to both, then it's probably a good deal. If yes, I would probably stay away from it. Many parts are available for the engine, but they won't be cheap, and once your done the tractor won't be worth what you had to put into the engine. Sad but true for a W-30. Just are not a very desireable model.
